4 Victoria Road, London

A small single storey extension at the rear of a terrace house in Stroud Green Conservation Area in Haringey N4.

The timber clad well proportioned room was sized around the dining table as it also doubles as a garden room.

Situated at the back of the kitchen with a window seat at the end of the long entrance sequence, the room separates between two external spaces - an internalised paved patio and the south facing garden while retaining daylight to the existing house and external living space

The project was longlisted to NLA's  Don't Move, Improve!  2024 awards

During the design process, outcomes of our converstions with the clients are captured in quick and rough sketches which help us imagine together how the space we create could feel.

These little studies usually raise more questions than answers and start revealing details of the next working stage.
