An extensive retrofit and a three storey extension to an Edwardian house in Newnham, Cambridge.

The project included a front bay extension upwards to the first floor, and to the rear a  ground floor living room extension with a new kitchen, a first floor master bedroom with new showers and a second floor study. 

The existing structure was internally insulated in order to install a new air source heat pump supported by photovltaic panels to heat the house through underfloor heating.

A green roof was added towards the back and both front an rear gardens were landscaped, providing cycle hoops and paving. 

The project was shortlisted for the Greater Cambridge Design and Construction Awards 2024 under the Best Conservation, Alteration, or Extension of an Existing Building (under £2m construction costs) category.
