Grape Britannia Wine Bar, 34 Chesterton Road, Cambridge
Grape Britannia is a new wine bar and a specialist English and Welsh sustainable wines merchant located in a historic Victorian house.
The ground floor and basement were originally part of the house with a garden on the corner, until in the 1920's it was built over and the house was subdivided and connected to C.N. Mitcham’s shop, which gave the site and the area its name "Mitcham's Corner".
Works included access and acoustic improvements, as well as structural, servicing and environmental improvements.
The new double glazed shopfront with a reconstructed cornice and lit fascia adds a welcoming, locally owned business to support the highstreet.
